Treasures of the Blood Treasures of the Blood Volume 1 presents seven artifacts/magical items, one for each of the clans of the Camarilla. Each entry has a description and background on the item, along with rumors about the item and details of the bounties that might paid for the item or information on the item. The Tabletop Gaming Club really enjoyed the artifacts especially the Soul Mirror which they incoropated into their weekly game. This book is a welcome attention to the club's library, and we strongly recommend it for all Vampire storytellers. ...

Watch the World Burn Watch the World Burn introduces us to a chantry called the Firehouse, controlled by an eninity named the Gardener. The Gardener's goal is to prune the "diseased branches" of reality, by fire. The product details the three mages that make up the Cabal and mentions a secondary group Hedge Mages and Sorcerers called the "Groundskeepers. The Tabletop Gaming Club enjoyed this product and found the story seeds interesting. We hope to work the chantry into our weekly game. The Gaming Club recommends this book to as welcome addition to any Storyteller of Mage....

Dragon-Blooded: What Fire Has Wrought

Dragon-Blooded: What Fire Has Wrought What Fire Has Wrought is my favorite execution of my favorite type of Exalted. The book covers more about the Dragon-Blooded across Creation than previous editions, updates the Great Houses to make them more iconic, super-charges Dragon-Blooded charms, and provides a set of new martial arts, sorcery, and artifacts for use in any Exalted game. My only complain would be the lack of a Stroyteller section. I rate this book 5/5 Dragons and highly recommend it for any Exalted fans. Rose City by Night

Rose City by Night While much shorter this really is probably the best VtM city book I've read. Vancouver being a close second. It creates a nice natrual cold war setting between Cam and Sabbat while having plenty of other factions. The way she deals with Portland being so small is also fantastic. The Adventure in the back is an easy starting point for a long term Cronicle. The next time I run Vampire the Masquerade we will definatly be in Rose City. There are some slight incositencies in the book which help give a storyteller options. I would also have like to see some visual relationship maps and such as sometimes the motivations are hard to follow....

Vampire: The Masquerade 20th Anniversary Edition

Vampire: The Masquerade 20th Anniversary Edition By the sweet blood of Caine, Vampire isn't even one of our favorite games but this book is amazing. A love letter to what started it all, and beyond, this book is great for new and old players alike. The mechanics got a good polishing and tune-up, the world gets a solid update given that at the tail end of the Old World of Darkness you were just getting into the bane that is smartphones, not to mention catching the timeline in general up to its release. It still has Tremere in it, which isn't bad enough to affect my star rating....

Mind's Eye Theatre: Werewolf The Apocalypse
by Carl L.

Mind's Eye Theatre: Werewolf The Apocalypse Another fine treatment of an older game. I still dig the ability bits that go beyond just numbers for tests. I like the downtime action layout, as well as the Quest bits for trying to make sense of all the questing things the warriors of Gaia undergo. I think setting wise it suffers from trying to 'fix' all the issues of the old Werewolf setting. Suddenly nearly all the shifters get along. Suddenly the Garou and other Fera get a rousing second chance in the forms of seed caerns and the inclusion kinfolk being Bitten. While there's some interesting ideas there it honestly smacks of a little too much of a fan fiction type 'fix' for things they saw 'wrong' with the old. That's just a personal opinion. I know plenty you love the suddenly fluffy hugs and rainbows approach to the end of the world. Mechanically, I think the only gripe I can find is that while the streamlined powers work fine in the Vampire, Werewolf loses out when you take a machete to the gift lists. True, there's too ...

Mind's Eye Theatre: Vampire The Masquerade Quickstart Guide
by Carl L.
Publisher: By Night Studios

Mind's Eye Theatre: Vampire The Masquerade Quickstart Guide A solid redo of the old MET. More streamlined, which is supposedly what is wanted in LARP, and even has interesting bits with some of the mechanics that don't require so much RPS. The treatment of Influence alone is an amazing addition to the MET framework, and it was one of the most amazing things in the old MET books to begin with. The only issue, and it's a literally big one, is the size of the print book. Now given this day and age of digital books and what not, this isn't so bad if you just keep it on a tablet or your phone. Still, for those of us who like an actual book-book it's horribly unwieldy to try and lug this tome around. Still, ultimately cheaper than all the other MET books you had to shell out for back in the day....

The Pack This is as of this writing the only second edition Werewolf: the Forsaken add-on (though Shunned by the Moon should be out soon!!). If you've picked up the main WtF 2e core book, I highly recommend this one as well. It adds greater understanding and depth into what the pack means to an Uratha, as well as how to flesh them out into a real story-driving force within your game. It also contains some wonderful ideas on how to fit other supernatural characters into a pack (such as a changeling or a vampire). The Pack makes a great game even better....

Rites of Renown: When Will You Rage II Excellent collection of short stories from the world of Werewolf: the Apocalypse (World of Darkness)! It's familiar and fresh at the same time. If you're new to the game, it's a fantastic way to get a feel for the world. If you're returning to WtA, you'll get drawn right in.

When Will You Rage One of my favorite ways to get a feel for a game world (especially in World of Darkness) is through its fiction. If you're new to Werewolf: the Apocalypse, this collection of short stories lets you jump right into the day-to-day of characters from that game. If you're familiar with WtA, its a wonderful little blast-from-the-past full of familiar elements sure to make you all nostalgic (and perhaps make you want to get the WtA 20th Anniversary book and call up some old friends for a new game!).
