Bordeaux by Night - Players Guide Secrets of the Masquerade presents us with an epic look in the Bordeaux area of France. It provides us with details about the history and geography of the area. It includes insights into the culture of the area and its people. And it gives us a ton of characters with detailed backgrounds. The Tabletop Gaming Club really enjoyed reading through the book, and we look forward to the companion book detailing storyteller secrets of Bordeaux. We stongly recommend this book to all VTM player and look forward to playing a game set in this setting....

Bordeaux by Night - Players Guide This is the player's guide to a series of two books, meant to introduce players to the culture and life of the southern French city of Bordeaux, and how to faithfully portray a person who lived their entire life there. It also has a primer on the history, politics and intrigues of the city's Kindred populace, the major power plays, some notables, their known personalities and goals and agendas, with a huge diversity of character worldviews and beliefs, written in an unbiased manner. The book is littered with gorgeous art and excellent art direction. And while it's not really enough to play a game on its own, it's definitely worth a read out of the sheer quality of the content alone. Five stars....

Heirs to the Mountains of Madness

Heirs to the Mountains of Madness A very intersting mystery for a Mage story that can be either a one shot or a full blown campaign. It does need assembly to make it work, which is expected considering it is a small jumpstart. I've played Call of Cthulhu for a long time so i was excited for this.. "crossover", but being a fan of the ambiance makes Heirs to the Mountains a little underwhelming; it would very much fit and please someone who likes the idea of Cthulhu / Lovecraft stuff but aren't heavily involved with the Mythos. I enjoyed the character and their motivations, and the general plotline offered. I may very mich adapt the idea to my own campaigns! 9/10...

Mage: The Ascension 20th Anniversary Edition Book is too big for the cheap binding they use. My group bought 4 books and all for bindings broke. I expected this, so no surprise.

Bordeaux by Night - Players Guide A great city sourcebook which contains a short-and-sweet introduction to French culture as relevant for playing a character in France, a detailed Kindred and mortal history of the city itself, helpful maps and insight into Bordeaux's physical and political geography, as well as a ton of interesting, varied NPCs with their own quirks and flaws, which fit right in with the city's atmosphere and background. To top it off, the book is laid out well and contains so much beautiful, original artwork. I can only recommend picking this up if you are interested in playing a game set in Bordeaux, and I hope the follow up book for storytellers will keep this high level of quality....

Renegades of Mercury: Love's Messengers

Renegades of Mercury: Love's Messengers I don't read or play very much Wraith, as much as I love the entire concept of the game. Perhaps I have not gotten into the game too deply because...it is so alien. Perhaps seems too disconnected from the rest of the World of Darkness. The simple idea conveyed in this small supplement really brings Wraith back "home" to relevance in the Lands of the Living. Whether the idea is used in the Great War setting or any other area of conflict, it brings a powerful theme and relevance to Wraith. It isn't a lot of material, but it presents a solid idea that could "connect" the Wraith game with people/places players like myself can identify with....

Werewolf: The Apocalypse 20th Anniversary Edition

Werewolf: The Apocalypse 20th Anniversary Edition First off, i really like what they've done with the game. This is the Werewolf I remember and love, and they've done away with the mistakes of the Revised system. The systems are so close to the same that I can still use my old books. Other than updating things for the last 20 years, there are no great surprises here. Given the size of the tome, and the fact that it includes so much, like the other changing breeds, I don't begrudge the price, either for the pdf or the printing. That said, the binding on the Premium book absolutely sucks. I've had it for a bit over a month and the front cover is already separated from the book. Sure, the paper feels nice and it looks beautiful, but the cover shouldn't already be detached. Hell, I've barely used it as I got the pdf at the same time and have been reading that almost exclusively. It pretty well assures I'll never by a printed work by Drivethru in the future. So, buy the PDF and enjoy, don't pay for printing. Hell, take it to Staples ...

At the Crossroads
by Ugnius D.
Publisher: White Wolf
Date Added: 01/23/2019 05:17:23
At the Crossroads The product contains almost no useful content for STs and no useful content for player characters. When buying this, I hoped to see some handy reference which could be used at the table, or some elaborations on pacts, easing the players/pact usage during the game, however the product has none of that. The product description claims it has summary rules and ready pactsigners. I could somewhat agree that it has helpful content for STs in ready to insert pact signers, or more their concepts, but at least that can be tailored to your game. Summary pact rules are non-existant as far as I'm concerned, as nobody having this product would be able to make a pact in the first place. I hoped to be able to recommend this to my players so they can easily figure out what pacts are and how to make them, but this book has 0 crunch in concern to it. Suggestions to add: A one page reference for pact making, with mechanics/numbers, even if they're not explained in this book (that's what DtD is for), ...

Curst: Unfettered Another solid book from Sebastain Freeman, Curst Unfettered provides us with a new character type called the Curst, the mortal children of a thin-blood vampire. The book introduces new merits and flaws for Curst characters. It includes a setting called Jones-Walker Complex, which stired our play groups emotions. The master of character sheets Mr. Gone loans his skill to this book with a beautiful character sheet for the Curst. The Tabletop Gaming club recommends this book as it has became a welcome addition to our library....

Missoula by Night Missoula by Night is a welcome addition to the by Night series of books. With little knowledge of the real world area, the details provided in the book were enough to engage our players. The characters provided are well defined. The Tabletop Gaming club recommends this to players and storytellers alike.

Our Lady of Sorrows

Our Lady of Sorrows Our Lady of Sorrows is a short introductory module featuring the Giovanni family set in Chicago. We played through the adventure and our members enjoyed it. That being said this product could have been the start of an interesting chronicle but the writer does leave us hanging. The back cover of this product says that Lady of Sorrows is a monthly issued Giovanni Story Setting, which leads us to believe that this product was suppose to be the first of a series of short modules. Hopefully, the writer will return this project and give us the next chapter in this Giovanni story arc. The Tabletop Gaming Club does recommend this product as its only one dollar, and does provide a nights worth of entainment, but we also caution storytellers, that they will need to put in some work if they want to continue adventure after this chapters conclusion....

We Wretched Few Vol 1 We wretched few provides us with detailed backgrounds for a variety of prometheans. All three of the descriptions and storyhooks for the three individuality presented prometheans are interesting and captivating. The group of promotheans presented also have a lot of potential and interesting story plot hooks. The one thing that may or may not be an issue is that 3 of the members of the promothean group were not actually given character stats. Though this could be seen as an opportunity for the storyteller to flesh them out how he or she sees fit. The Tabletop Gaming club found this product a welcome and interesting attention to the Promothean library. ...

Fear and Loathing `77 As a fan of both the Sabbat and Gonzo, Fear & Loathing '77 appealed to me right away. And I was not disappointed. A sharp narrative dissovles the Sabbat-Anarch connection into a cocktail of historical realism and World of Darkness intrigue then injects it into your arm like a shot of adrenochrome. Highly recommended, just dont take too much! Too much!
