Tribebook Wlewa is a FANTASTIC gamechanger. It introduces a new breed of Bastet, one that very nearly brought the Garou down before they even had a chance to get going! Beyond that it expands the whole world! We see new facets of the War of Rage, new players we've never even heard of, and an endless host of possibilities. On the one hand I don't want to say too much, the joy of discovery being one of the biggest treats with all Savage Age projects, but on the other I want to talk! THIS STUFF IS SO COOL! Its well worth the investment!

The Fleshing out of the Fera that almost ended the Garou before they started. This book is fantastic. The Wlewa can serve as the scariest of antagonists. The details of the breed bring them to life and put them right in your face. I particularly like the dynamics of this breeds interaction with other Fera. Don't get me started on the art, its amazing.

The Bastet that nearly wiped out the Garou. How could you NOT want to know more. These guys are crazy and scary in so many ways. These guys work really well as PCs and also would make some amazing antagonists for a War of Rage game. Their self-righteous attitude makes them work great in either role and they do not lack in any way for depth. The bok gives some great ideas and concepts that will be amazing for just about any game.

We think the strength of the savage age setting lies in the flexibility it allows to explore the possibility of telling stories centered in the varied Fera that were lost to the War(s) of Rage. In this case the Weaponized Ink Project give us a new tribe of Bastet that forms the core of an Alliance of Fera in the form of the Hamaal, that is tragically destroyed by the most common flaw associated with the Fera: Excessive Pride. The writeups for the Wlewa, their various allies under the Hamaal system and their various gifts, totems and the new mechanics for Eldritch Magic can be used in several interesting ways in chronicles in the Werewolf line.

An excellent book presenting an interesting counter point to the Garou Nation. The Wlewa are a cautionary tale for what the Garou will later struggle with within themselves in later eras. In era, they present one of the biggest threats for the nascent Garou Nation as they have many of the same strengths the werewolves have to begin with. Plus, the book presents the facinating potential for a "what if" scenario of what may have happened if the Garou had not won the war of rage.
