This is a great adventure that I highly reccommend for first time DMs. The adventure is fairly linear, but its quite thematic and allows a lot of creativity in what players can do to solve the various problems thrown at them while keeping things simple for the DM.

A silly adventure that makes little sense and is at least blessedly short.

Oubliette of Fort Iron begins with the party climbing into the anus of a giant monster, and doesn't improve thereafter. Nothing about this adventure makes much sense - it's a handful of quite disparate encounters thrown together without rhyme or reason.

For those playing the entire Season 2 of Adventurer's League, this adventure is especially disappointing. It's yet another voyage to solve Mulmaster's mining woes - after the vastly superior Mayhem in the Earthspur Mines - and ties into the overall plot of the season so poorly that the eventual inevitable appearance of an Earth Cultist feels shoehorned in. Adventure hooks originating in Mulmaster that ask the players to do favours for NPCs they've previously met don't line up with the actual content of the adventure, whereas the only "native" hook relies on the players being motivated solely by gold.

The fact it's a level 1 to 2 adventure means I should also note it's a terrible first adventure for new players. Two of the three "pillars of play" - social and exploration - are completely absent. It's a linear march through a series of unavoidable combat encounters and environmental puzzles. Don't run this for newbies, lest they never come back.

Is there anything good about it? Well, it comes with plenty of maps, and it's probably the only Adventurer's League module I've seen which can actually be played start-to-finish in two hours without any stress. So there's that.

I can't recommend it.

Season 2 module. fairly good module. i wish the older season would get played more than they are. it would be interesting to see previous season played with the new season 9 rules

I wish this was a four hour module, its so much fun. Great dungeon-crawl but with a few twists. Also contains one of my all time favourite NPCs. It would be nice to have a little more roleplay guidance for a certain person and their 'pet' that aligns with the later modules, without providing spoilers to the DM necessarily.

It's a very straight-forward dungeon crawl that's very quick to prepare as a DM. Since it's tuned for APL 2 instead of 3, some of the combats are a bit simple. The story is very much on rails, but it's still a good module

When I ran this, it was definitely closer to four hours than two, although there were multiple children at my table. The adventure hook is pretty straightforward but effective, and the "dungeon as a living body" idea is interesting, and likely made this one more memorable than a more classically-constructed dungeon crawl. The cultists seem kind of tacked on, but the actual fight with them is interesting enough to make up for it.

I wish there was a fun overview map, if only for the dm's use. Works ok for lower level players. The dungeon design is the star here, really fun to describe. Player's had fun slowly coming to realize...

Enjoyable adventure with a bit of roleplay tacked on the front. The location was memorable but this module suffers from the early plethora of Tier 1 modules tuned for level 2 characters. The low challenge and experience rewards for a module of this length make it disappointing for players for the time spent. It also plays long and went beyond the target time of 2 hours.
With the changes to Player advancement it may bring the rewards in TP and CAP up to the standard for season 8 but it will still need focused play to complete in the time alloted.

I had fun and I think my table had fun with this module both as a player and DM. It's short (there's a chance of actually finishing it in the allotted two hours without rushing) and linear, which makes it good for new players, while the puzzles and the gimmick of the dungeon mirroring a body were fun for new players and experienced players (some tables picked up on it very early and others never noticed).

The combats were fine, though never harrowing at the tables I've run and played. The DM should be prepared for the party to try to Shatter or physically attack the seed of Fel Earth and know how (s)he wants to adjudicate it.

The maps in this module were very good and covered pretty much every interesting location.

I have played this mod many times and run it many times as a DM. I enjoy it for the texture of the story, and the innovative challenges it gives players, and let's the DM have a fun playland...from the bottom to the top (ahem.)

There are clever ways to defeat the obsticals, the end combat can be challenging without being overwealming and it gives folks lots to talk about.

Recomended buy.

The adventure hook and setting for this adventure is top notch. The players really enjoyed intereacting with the NPCs early game and there was planty of fun to be had creeping them out with a specific NPC. In the second half of the adventure the environment is allows for players to be clever and a nice series of encounters that really made it enjoyable. Great setting, good puzzles, and good encounters gives this a 5 star for me.

Without having as much prep time as I usually do, I was still able to run this adventure successfully. I missed some very fun details but the linear nature of the module helped keep me on track, and the sense of exploration and discovery kept the party from getting frustrated at the lack of multiple paths. There are so many inventive encounters, and moments within encounters, that the sense of peril is always present. Describing the special weapon in the first round of the final combat really had its target worried as the villain rolled the attack and then the player rolled her save; and the result of that single attack surprised and entertained everyone. The adventure is filled with memorable moments like that.

Felt like a straight forward dungeon crawl. The scenerio was interesting, but felt that the module lacked a little flavor.

Oubliette of Fort Iron is fun yet linear ride through a fantastical setting. A great idea for environment sets this mod apart from many others and a fun back and forth pace between combat and skill encounters keeps things lively. Our party welcomed the creature variety, environmental challenges and the unexpected return of an NPC from earlier in the season. 4/5

This was the first 2 hour adventure I ever ran, and like all 2 hour adventures, I find that it is more of a 2-3 hour adventure. This is essentially a straight dungeon crawl. The encounters can require some player thought, not just an ability check. The final fight is fun to RP.
