Wasn't quite what I expected. I hoped for more rules regarding Sanity/Insanity, curing derangements, madness through supernatural sights and such, to add to a Call-of-Cthulhu-like tone.
This book does NOT contain such things! It contains background for medical professions within the World of Darkness, physicians and psychiatrics alike, and a nice intricate pre-built sanatorium setting. Part of the "medical background" section is a bit heavy to read, but most of it is quite atmospheric and offers a lot of ideas.
Still, it seems to refer mostly on the 1st ed. Chronicles of Darkness rulebook, and as a non-native speaker I keep tripping over the one or other weird typo.
All in all, a good read, but for starters a bit too specific, and it could have been better proof-read.
