An incredibly fun game to play, I look forward to every session I can schedule

Highly suggest checking this out if you like Spy fiction, games, and media. I'm surprised by how much of this game is real life stuff like a Russian clandestine agency that's acronymn sounds like a sneeze.

For lovers of impossible missions, especially those with the comedic feel of "Get Smart!," this is a great option. The "They Came from...!" games are especially useful to plop in the middle of other long-running games as a break, though you can run long-term chronicles of course. They also mix and match well, so you could have your secret agents going ghost-busting, for instance.

Having read through it, it's an evocative love letter to spy media of all sorts with a variable (low to mid) crunch mechanics that seem to support the genre well. Prose is a little bit on the indulgent side; Onyx Path regulars should be used to it but even grumps like myself found the writing entertaining enough and at times even downright useful.

If you're looking for a campy spy game, you can't go wrong with this one. But even if you want to play thing straight, there's enough meat to support your serious operations inside.

They Came from [CLASSIFIED] is a pure distillation of everything that makes this line of RPGs great! Spy movies and entertainment are everpresent and have such a unique and knowing tone, and this book captures it all perfectly, giving you the tools to play your espionage agent of choice, with all the crazy gadgets, gorgeous locales, over-the-top baddies, nefarious plans, and perfectly placed quips you could ever hope for! I've been lucky enough to have both played and run [CLASSIFIED] on a few occasions now, and each time has been a blast! In what other game could you race to stop an evil villain from using the aurora borealis as a hypnotic device, and thereby using Santa as a vehicle to deliver bombs to targets the world over? How many RPGs trot around the globe while schmoozing with other spies in order to find the double cross before it finds you? [Classified] lets your plots be as grounded or as ludicrous as you like, all the while allowing your games to emulate all that's great about this genre!
