Dark Shores: Lineages of the Great Lakes
Publisher: White Wolf
by DSC T. G. C. _. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 04/11/2019 16:41:05

Dark Shores: Lineages of the Great Lakes is effectively a book on the Bloodlines of the Great Lake area. The Introduction serves basically as a brief history of the Great Lakes region, while the five chapters each introduce an unique bloodline. Some the bloodlines are offshoots of other clans, the Halloways coming from Ventrue, the Poachers coming from Nosferatu and the Brickheads coming from Gargoyles. The Crimson Deer flush out the childre of Yaryan who originally appearedin Chicago by Night. Finally the Markus' Fellowship introduces a bloodline of vampires with their own unique form of blood magic. The book's appendix is dedicated to new abilities, disciplines, merits and flaws.

The Tabletop Gaming club really enjoyed using the book. The each bloodline brought something new and unique the table. It was a welcome addition to the club's gaming library and it would be a welcome addition to any storyteller's library.

The Hunger Within
Publisher: White Wolf
by DSC T. G. C. _. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 04/09/2019 14:45:11

The Hunger Within is a creepy adventure set in rural England. We found the setting dark and haunting as we played through the adventure. The story starts with an investigation during which a feeling of creeping dread starts to set in. We could say more but to be honest if we say to much more the impact of the product would be lessened.

The Tabletop Gaming Club strongly recommends this product. Its the ideal scenario for both new players and old.

World of Darkness: Sorcerer (4e/20A)
Publisher: White Wolf
by DSC T. G. C. _. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 03/29/2019 11:45:18

World of Darkness: Sorcerer is an attempt to update sorcerer's to 20th anniversary edition. In general, the book does a decent job of doing so. The book could use some more editing and there are a few sections were the writing and or mechanics could use reworking. We found the sections on Magical Form and Psionic Pheomena useful in our campaign. The chapter on the downside of beign a sorcerer (the Catch) was interesting and could easily be worked into a campaign.

The Tabletop Gaming club does recommend this book for any players of Mortals with Psychic or Hedge Magic Numina. Though we are hoping the author does release an updated version of the book fixing some of the issues.

Analects of the Third Garden
Publisher: White Wolf
by DSC T. G. C. _. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 03/29/2019 11:02:44

Analects of the Third Garden is a very ambitious project. Much like other in game lore books, such as Revelations of the Dark Mother or the Book of Nod, it pieces together much vampire lore. Focusing on Lilith, the book covers the creation of man, the exiling of lilith, the coming of Caine (refered to as Kayin), event the embrace of the Antidulivans. Written in a style to stimulate old english, this product has the ability to draw on into the myths the authors are presenting.

The Tabletop Gaming Club strongly recommends this book to fans of Vampire myth and lore.

Curst: Unfettered
Publisher: White Wolf
by DSC T. G. C. _. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 01/22/2019 17:25:24

Another solid book from Sebastain Freeman, Curst Unfettered provides us with a new character type called the Curst, the mortal children of a thin-blood vampire. The book introduces new merits and flaws for Curst characters. It includes a setting called Jones-Walker Complex, which stired our play groups emotions.

The master of character sheets Mr. Gone loans his skill to this book with a beautiful character sheet for the Curst.

The Tabletop Gaming club recommends this book as it has became a welcome addition to our library.

Our Lady of Sorrows
Publisher: White Wolf
by DSC T. G. C. _. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 01/22/2019 15:17:53

Our Lady of Sorrows is a short introductory module featuring the Giovanni family set in Chicago. We played through the adventure and our members enjoyed it. That being said this product could have been the start of an interesting chronicle but the writer does leave us hanging. The back cover of this product says that Lady of Sorrows is a monthly issued Giovanni Story Setting, which leads us to believe that this product was suppose to be the first of a series of short modules. Hopefully, the writer will return this project and give us the next chapter in this Giovanni story arc.

The Tabletop Gaming Club does recommend this product as its only one dollar, and does provide a nights worth of entainment, but we also caution storytellers, that they will need to put in some work if they want to continue adventure after this chapters conclusion.
