I am a sucker for the minor supernatural merit templates, I love the idea of them and I love using them in games, and this book has 3.
The first of them is channelers, they are people who channel the power of a certain type of ephemeral being of your choice. You can wield their influence and their numina. It's neat, but it's done in other books as well, if slightly different.
The second of the templates is Sanguiomancers, mortals who can wield supernatural merits and power them with viate. They're kind of like ghouls with merits instead of disciplines. They're an interesting idea and can make a good twist on a vampire's favored servant, especially a vampire in the Circle of the Crone. If you're not running vampire, they're a bit more niche, though the book does have rules for using them without the kindred.
The last of the templates is my favorite, the expanded and upgraded Skin Thief. Skin Thieves steal other forms by skinning and wearing the skin of the form they want. This can even include a spirit's skin, which can in turn grant you numina and influence. There's even an option to simply bind the creature whose form you wish to wear, rather than killing it. Over all these are top notch and make wonderful and creepy antagonists (or protagonists).
In closing I really like this book, and I consider it a really good buy at the price, but I can't give it 5 stars because ther first two templates just don't quite get there for me.
