The Umbra is well explored and defined in this volume. The different realms and the hierarchy of spirits are explained with a flare for the dramatic and the dark in equal measure. The art combines struggle and sinister transformation to great effect. Strong impressions of the Umbra and the creatures that inhabit it are made. As always, White Wolf was generous enough to dedicate a particular section of the book to storytelling in the Umbra. For the believers in the light and dark secrets of the shadow world alike, this piece of literature will light the way for you to walk in it. Tread with care. I had the first edition of the umbra book in hard copy but found a lot of my supplements didn't match the details inside umbra 1st and so I got this revised and it sorted out all my problems and gave me new info as well. So my rating of it is a 5 assuming you don't have the 1st if so then usefullness is about 3
