Although the basic idea is interesting and merits further development, this is actually not a scenario, neither a supplement, it is just a starting concept with little clues and vague descrpitive content. For the price, its description and its rating, I would have hoped for a more complete book.

Descriptions of the locations and background of the protagonists is vague (e.g. details on how the coterie haven is hidden, details on actions undertaken by the antagonists so far and planned in the future instead of some vague one liners, etc.).

A Storyteller wanting to use this basic idea, would require a lot of additional work to further develop what is missing.

I would not recommend to buy this for the price required (and I got it on a 20% rebate...), the art content is not even original which might have justified a higher price for the overall content..

This is a fantastic supplement that presents all the tools required to run a short campaign of personal horror in any modern Vampire: The Masquerade city. If you would like to read more of my thoughts then you can find them HERE

While rather new to the World of Darkness myself, I was first drawn into the world because of the horror element and the potential to explore these scenarios. Then I was abruptly dissapointed when most of the communities I found either wanted only wanton violence or to explore their "dark artiste." Mens Sana gives a great and welcome pull back to those personal horror themes, and the book is rather well written, so that even someone as inexperianced as myself has a good handle on what's going on and what leads are being placed. Overall, I'm incredibly happy with this product and eagerly await more from the creator, should they chose to bless us!

Secrets of the Masquerade Mens Sana In Corpore Sano is an excellent throw back to the spirit of 1st edition Vampire the Masquerade. Playing through the adventure had the feel of a classic 1st edition game. The scenario provided the backdrop, for a truely terroriying story of showing the manipulations of the ancillae and how little control neonates truely have over their own exisitance.

The format of the adventure was presented in classic 1st edition style, which fit well with the theme of the book. The only thing that we would have liked to have seen was actual character statistics for the two major "villians" of the story, though we believe the author didn't provide them to allow the storyteller to customize them to his or her needs.

It is rare for me to see a campaign that lives up to the "personal horror" tagline of Vampire: The Masquerade, this is certainly one of these cases. An interesting story with a great twist and compelling characters and scenarios that would make for a memorable short game.

The art inside might be familiar to players who read previous White Wolf books and I personally would've preferred if the author used updated character sheets, though it's definitely worth the price if you're looking for some real personal horror.
