Our Lady of Sorrows is a short introductory module featuring the Giovanni family set in Chicago. We played through the adventure and our members enjoyed it. That being said this product could have been the start of an interesting chronicle but the writer does leave us hanging. The back cover of this product says that Lady of Sorrows is a monthly issued Giovanni Story Setting, which leads us to believe that this product was suppose to be the first of a series of short modules. Hopefully, the writer will return this project and give us the next chapter in this Giovanni story arc.

The Tabletop Gaming Club does recommend this product as its only one dollar, and does provide a nights worth of entainment, but we also caution storytellers, that they will need to put in some work if they want to continue adventure after this chapters conclusion.

I was expecting much longer. The premise is interesting. Great hook leading...somewhere. The good thing about this mod is that because its so short, it doesn't really hook into the Giovanni so it can really fit in in any chronicle with any NPCs. I will use it as a hook in my game and expand upon it.

The core idea here is solid, but the writing and layout makes this a flawed product. The sentence structure is off, and some don't really make sense. The story itself could be really interesting, but it also feels a little too much like a railroad. The Giovanni are a great clan, and using them as a focus caught my attention, but these characters fall flat and I'm not really interested in their backstory.

To the author; I think it would be good to have an editor for your future products, they can help get your writing a little tighter, and offer some suggestions. Try and create set pieces for your chronicle's, places, locations, and events to drop in, but provide the frameworks and let the ST use that framework as a hopping off point.

Too short, not even a 3 pages worth of content, a draft. I have bought it based on the 5 and I am pretty surprised by the quality of the work compared to the price. I would not advise this purchase.

Short, but full of atmosphere. I'm sorry, but I just never get tired of Giovanni Mafie Gangster fun! This is the set-up for an ongoing Giovanni-centric chronicle and it looks to be quite entertaining. If I had more time, I would be running this right now. Even in the short space available, the Carbine and Carbon Building is a character in and of itself. I admit that I am a little baffled by the lack of Disciplines in the write-ups for the Giovanni Don and his right hand guy, but since they are mostly high level plot movers and unassailable by neonate characters, I don't see that as an insurmountable problem. The personalities of the characters are well-drawn and more than sufficient for the needs of this introductory scenario. I rate this: A slow Goomba nod and a thumbs up!
