i have been a fan of WtA since it's first release. Everything from 1st to W20. I'm going to be honest I don't know what purpose this book serves. Werewolf the Apocalypse seems to get stuck with anthology stories camouflaged as gaming supplements. We already. have. "Silver Record", "Drums Around the Fire", When Will You Rage 1st print and revised. So this is pointless. Sure the art is cool and some of the stories are mediocre good. Instead of giving us a Lore of the X book like Vampire and Mage. We get this.
If you want another anthology storybook this will give you what you want. If you want. something for your gaming group this isn't. it

Was actually excited to pick this up as the Shadow Lords are one of my 3 favorite tribes. When I read it though it felt as if the author never read the WtA corebook or even glanced at the SL tribe book. Felt like he was just throwing out terms here and there to make you feel it was a WtA book. The book was entertaining and some parts resonated with the WtA/WoD vibe. Other parts felt out of place. Overall not bad, not great. Mediocre.

Strangeness in the Proportion

You know how much I love this book? I'm on my 3rd read through. Seriously this is one of the best horror fictions I've read in a long time. Even though it is set in the New World of Darkness setting it stands strong as it's own entity. You'll see little Easter eggs here and there but you won't feel like you're reading a game fiction. The characters are so life-like..no pun..that you start to care for them. Simon, Nyx, even Icky. The love story between Simon and Jane is so sincere you wonder what happens afterwards. Plus I am a huge fan of the corbies. Give it a read I doubt you'll be disappointed. Take a trip to the Dead Waters, you'd be surprised who you might run into.

The God-Machine Chronicle Anthology

Absolutely loved this. Some of the stories come from various NWoD books others are brand new. While they generally are 4-6 pages long they still have the creepiness you come to expect from a WW fiction piece.
