Blood Throne of Maglubiyet
by Ashley H. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/26/2024 22:24:17

Overall a good adventure. however, the map was a bit too complicated for my party so i simplified the map, rearranged it, and rolled for random rooms in some places.

Encounters in the Mists - Additional random encounters for Dungeon Masters
by Robert M. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/26/2024 15:05:13

This document wasn't really full of 'encounters' moreso than it was a list of short events that you can pepper in amongst the pre-existing random encounter tables. There's about a 50/50 split between spooky events and 'good' events, in an attempt to add a little positivity to the bleak Ravenloft atmosphere.

The most dangerous monster encounter is with a CR 1/4 Zombie, so if you're trying to challenge your players, this won't do it.

For free though, it's not like you're throwing money away by taking a read-through, and if you figure it's worth something, throw the author some cash after.

CCC-QCC2018-02 Heart and Soul
by Adam C. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/26/2024 04:20:56

I have played and ran this module a few times... great module and a nice way to have a break from the usual go here and kill x to get y quests. For fun i changed this up just a little and let my players have thier own oceans 11 heist with some recon steps and use of flashback to get over various ways around the inevitable difficulties and twists they encountered... led to a highly creative session most of which i just let them get on with!

SJ-DC-MONSTER-04 Tempest
by Adam C. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/25/2024 10:50:09

Its Over finally King Tempest (otherwise known as the thunderkitty) finally made his entrance in the most epic way possible. I loved this module, the sorty and location and of course the final showdown/ arena area was extremely cool and my players loved it. I did add a few steps in the fight as i dint want it to be over too quick with the puzzle aspect. One of my players had the mount from the fist module in this series and was an absolute menace. damn that Twinkle

SJ-DC-MONSTER-03 Zaratan
by Adam C. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/25/2024 10:46:52

Well Working my way through the series, Phoenix had great combat and story telling, leviathan had great exploration, and Zaratan had the most unique story, dont want to spoil it but after the first two characters maybe expecting one thing but then they get something else entirely. Love the theme of the mountain tortoise, of the other modules this one puts the most pressure on groups both with time and combat, a skilled Dm can really put the pressure on a party.

The Haunted House of Rysenbry
by ian m. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/25/2024 10:45:14

I ran the game as a 1-shot last night and it was really enjoyable. I loved the atmosphere and claustraphobia of the game. It took about 2 and a half hours from start to finish and the haunted house design worked for very seasoned players and a fresh newbie that had never played before. I fleshed out a few details with the madness of Clarissa and the lament of Nicholas but there was lots to enjoy in this well put together adventure.

Hoard of the Dragon Queen Chapter 1 Maps
by DnD D. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/24/2024 16:55:25

They are free maps that you can use (or not) in your campaign. I honestly don't get the people complaining about something that was provided for free. Don't like it? Don't use it and walk away.

Not a Creature Was Stirring
by pierrick s. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/23/2024 02:44:37

I ran it and it was a blast. It felt like being in a christmas movie. Especially the beginning. The adventure was very inspiring for me as a DM and so I loved putting it in my campaign and expanding on some ideas a little bit.

Musical Morels
by pierrick s. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/23/2024 02:38:55

I DMed this adventure (with a heavily modified ending, but with the initial premise intact). It was very fun. I can confirm that the description of the product is very apt: "A choir of singing mushrooms to brighten your day" Yes, the mushroom guys were very cute, and were the highlight of the session. It was a lot of fun. "Run it on the fly with little preparation" I can confirm, I was swamped with work, this simple one shot was a saving grace! It's very straighforward. You can read it and run it. "Includes combat, exploration and roleplaying" Indeed, that's how i like it, and it had everything! :)

All in all, I chose this adventure because the quest stood out to me, as it was quite original, compared to other adventures that iterate on the same few ideas (dark dungeon, evil goblin tribe, etc). I recommend it.

The Shaman
by Marcus M. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 03/22/2024 19:53:38

First off, the artwork is AMAZING.

I've always wanted to build a shaman, but every time I try, I feel like I'm just building a druid clone. Dragonix expertly draws the line between the two classes and bring something that makes that shaman look more challenging, but enjoyable. I'm curious to see how it scales with other character classes though. I'm honestly excited to see how the shaman fits in our upcoming sessions.

What I noticed was that Dragonix really tried to make sure the class fit the theme of historical shamans and not just fantasy, which dealt with spirits and rituals. And there are loads here about spirits and rituals.

The 4 things that I liked the most: 1) totemic spirit, which reminds me of the World of Warcraft Shaman ability. It's similar to the Artillerist's cannon, but more versatile and varies in flavor depending on your subclass. 2) ancestral guidance - similar to flash of genius, but requires guidance cantrip, 3) spirit journey (again with the real-life shaman theme), which grants you an ability to reroll a d20 roll instead of gaining hit points (how many times have we gone doing a long rest without ever using our hit dice to regain hit points), and 4) ancestral awakening, which sounds almost game-breakingly powerful. It's edgy, but I don't think it's powerful than, say, Action Surge. You need to be in combat to do it (so you can't do double buffs) and you can only use it with shaman spells, which really depends on your subclass.

We'll see how it goes once we've played it in several sessions.

Not having run this yet or played it, I have only watched it be run by the author. This was INCREDIBLE to see just how in depth the environment and characters are! I would love to see it run more! Perhaps even as a player myself!
