So far I am LOVING this Sabbat supplement; however, my main concern is how many spelling and grammatical errors are present. I'd love it if you updated it with some polish, but otherwise so far this is a solid book!

Sadly, not for Xmas. :D We have been down with the flu and resting up after the Lorebook release.

But the Rulebook is being edited. We are aiming for a February/March release. And purchasers of this book, will still get the discount value from Rulebook+Lorebook bundle upon the release.

Is this different from the preview that is for purchase? I thought this was that book, but my DTRPG didn't update to the complete version

Sorry, I didn't understand the question.
The preview on this listing is the first 50 pages or so from the book (though, I do need to republish them, since some bugs were fixed in the meanwhile)

If you're talking about the Sabbat the Schism Preview which was listed previously on STV (for free), that listing was removed, since originally it was planned to do one book, but creative work is such, that since two more books are planned, the old listing was removed and a new one was made. All old previews (including for Roads and disciplines Delirium and Metamorphose) were also removed, and there are significant differences from initial previews in Road mechanics, and Delirium and Metamorphose, as we made the mechanics and lore more befitting of V5 games.

Since this is the full version (700+ pages) and has a fixed price, couldn't really work with the old listing.

Where do I post if I have scrictly mechanical questions, rather then just errors to point out, such as how certain abilites work and certain terms used?

This book actually has me interested in 5th edition! (I was really put off by the official sabbat book they released). This looks fantastic (I cannot afford atm but want to get it asap), want to ask if you are considering offering a POD?? Is that allowed for community releases?

I've accounted for such a possibility with a last-day of the month release. :D But Halloween is sacral, Grande Ballo is sacred too.

Sadly, STV community content releases are not allowed to be sold as POD. We are only allowed to sell the electronic versions. It is not forbidden though to print out the book yourself.

For the future I plan on adding a print-ready file (with extra cover page that account for the book spine), so that buyers can print out on their own, which is not forbidden.

Depending on your place of residence, you might have many self-printing options, which are not expensive, or really none (like me).

The only trouble I foresee, if perhaps the size of the book? It's 728 pages long, 726 if we take away the front and back. Since the book is in A4 format, many places I've asked about don't want to do hard-cover print like that, or want an extremely high price.

But, I suppose, we'll see as time goes a bit....See more

Follow standard character creation rules for now. (Use Gehenna Book rules on extra XP awarded at character creation since most Sabbat would be far more experienced in that). Only difference for now is when a character starts off on a Road and that should be covered in the Roads of Enlightenment chapter.

In the Rulebook there will be an expansion on character creation, to account for older characters, etc.

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
