Blood Sorcery Remastered

ADD TO WISHLIST >

Well its been a long wait, but its here. My own personal spin on Blood Sorcery. This is the third of 3 books detailing the various Cainite Sorceries.

Blood Sorcery had always held the fascination of many a player and had seen greatest number of changes, retcons, additions and re-reimaginings. I spent sometime looking over old and new material before I settled on the books layot. I do hope you find the rituals and powers in it to your liking.

  • 140 powers & rituals (old and new re-written).
  • 15 Different Paths: Path of Blood (20 rituals & powers), Path of Creation (20 rituals & powers), Path of Destruction (10 rituals & powers), Path of Life (10 rituals & powers), Path of Morpheus (10 rituals & powers), Path of Warding (10 rituals & powers), Path of Hexes (10 rituals & powers), Path of Elements (5 rituals & powers), Path of Flames (5 rituals & powers), Path of Mars (5 rituals & powers), Path of Mercury (5 rituals & powers), Path of Souls (5 rituals & powers), Path of Technomancy (5 rituals & powers), Path of Serpents (10 rituals & powers) and Path of Shadows (10 rituals & powers),
  • Each path has its own unique mechanics, bonuses and tricks which are, in keeping with all of my other books, mostly an optional feature
  • Fera Magica had also been added as an unofficial 16th path, which you can use if you want to have some fun and generate random powers for your thaumaturge.
  • Ranges, times, effects, conditions, risks and more added to make the powers less vague
  • Part of the Shadowfall collection (my personal collection with more titles to come)
  • All rules are meant to be used in V5. The rules and powers are optional. This means you can pick and chose which powers you wish to include in your games or just take inspiration from the rules provided.

If anyone wishes to get in touch with me as I continue working on such projects then please add me on Discord - Peter Wolfman#0917

Hey, I am running with pretty much all your discipline remasters in my Game but I am also using the Clanbook Baali homebrew from this site aswell which includes new Blood Sorcery powers including an Amalgam. I was wondering what you think would be a good call for how to handle them? I was thinking of just put the new powers into there own Path of Infernal? And the Amalgam since it requires Blood Sorcery just list it as needing the Path of Blood especially since in the book you say the path of blood is the bases for most other paths or treat it like the Path of Shadows where you would need Obtenebration (The Clanbook does rely on Oblivion but the 5e version. your Obtenebration remaster works more into the controlling the abyss side of things so I am also placings its new oblivion powers into Obtenebration). Any thoughts would be a great help especially since these remasters are such good quality.

Hey Stephen all very good questions here. I had just reached out to the author for the Clanbook Baali to see what their thoughts might be so I respect their work as well.

From my stance point, as an easy fix, I think you nailed it already. I am still planning to do the Infernalism powers and I would normally do it in a similar manner to the Necromancy book in relation to Oblivion. Basically introduce the new Blood Sorcery Rituals as the Infernalist path and then only have it be accesible for those who have infernalism as a Discipline. I would limit the levels, so you cannot have an Path Of Infernal level 4 power if you do not have 4 dots in the in Infernalism discipline as well.

Hope this helps.

Hey Peter, Thanks for getting back to me very cool that you reach out to the Clanbook creators as well.

Your response was very helpful in figuring out the blood sorcery part. Sadly now Oblivion has become my new opponent. Since oblivion is a weird mix of Necromancy, Obtenebration and other stuff, Trying to separate its stuff into the other books is quite a bother, Especially since some rituals I would class as Abyssal Mystics rely on Necromantic powers sometimes and then vice versa. Just shows me how awesome it was you were able to separate them all with your remasters.

I am honestly ecstatic to hear you are playing to do the infernalism powers and can't wait to see how they take form. and again thank you so much for the help really appreciate it.

not a problem, the simple approach I would recommend overall is to separate things based on their nature or as close as you can make it. If a power deals with shadows, fear or a simple predatory intent, than I would categorize it under the abyss. If the power deals with entropy, decay and unbiased destruction than it should fall under Oblivion.

Small text error in this book I'm just noticing. On page 27, first line of the English version, in the ability Exedo Animus; the first part of the sentence is written in Portuguese, the rest in English.

"Os estranhos nunca devem conhecer os benefícios desse poder, for they will assume that the practitioner is guilty of Amaranth."

Good stuff though, love the series, I have them all.

Hello, can you double check this error. Page 27 should be Bond Of Destruction.

The Portuguese sentence also does not seem correct as I do not speak Portuguese and would not normally know how to write this.

Hello Madison, the most popular question I get :). Yes I am finishing amalgams and fixing up blood alchemy and then I'll post it up 1-2 months.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
