My own personal spin on Necromancy. This is the first of 3 planned books detailing the various Cainite Sorceries. Necromancy deviates from how it was originally written in an effort to make it clearly different from Blood Sorcery. In it you will find:

  • 65 powers & ritual (old and new re-written). 
  • 6 Different Paths of Necromancy: Path of Spirits (15 rituals & powers), Path of Bones (15 rituals & powers), Path of Ashes (15 rituals & powers), Path of Death (10 rituals & powers), Path of Twilight (5 rituals & powers) and Path Of Skulls (5 rituals & powers)
  • The rules for Wraiths (currently found in Oblivion Remastered) had been further expanded on, with simple rules provided to build your own Wraiths (along with some basic Arcanoi powers).
  • The path of bones now has a whole section dedicated to undead rotting minions (much like Vicissitude Remastered has for flesh creations).
  • Path of spirits has a few Memento Mori (objects filled with deathly energy) provided as well as the ability to forge more through its 5th level power. 
  • A quick look at the nature of the Shadowlands and basic rules for using them in your games
  • Ranges, times, effects, conditions, risks and more added to make the powers less vague
  • The nature of Oblivion and the Abyss further elaborated upon for the custom rule set
  • Part of the Shadowfall collection (my personal collection with more titles to come)
  • All rules are meant to be used in V5. The rules and powers are optional. This means you can pick and chose which powers you wish to include in your games or just take inspiration from the rules provided.

Hello Joshua,

A single book would price people who are only interested in one or two disciplines out, which is why I broke it up.

For wave 1 I intend to still do blood alchemy and amalgams, after which I will put it all together into a big bundle to make it easier to get all the books at once.

Hi Peter. I think Joshua's point was that you could still have all the disciplines separately, but also combining them into one big book might make things a little easier/cheaper for those of us who would like to get them all.

This was a good read... But it does pose an interesting question... Given all the "remastered" books... Are you doing a Blood Sorcery next? Or separating it into several other "sub-divisions"?? Thaumaturgy, Koldunism, Ogham, etc.

The next book will be Koldunic Sorcery, followed by Thaumaturgy.

Koldunism will be slightly shorter than necromancy, while I got about 70-100 Thaumaturgy powers planned atm.

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
