100 Clurichaun for Changeling: the Dreaming

ADD TO WISHLIST >

This supplement has 100 briefly described clurichaun that can be used in a game of Changeling: the Dreaming. In most cases, their court allegiance, and often their seeming, are not described, allowing a Storyteller to configure them as needed. They can be used as random Kithain encountered, or as friends or foes.

This PDF supports Adobe layers and the page backgrounds and images can be disabled to make printing easier.

Here are some sample results:

  • Dara MacGilfoyle: Dara's main musical talent is only borderline musical, as it's dancing, often tap. Dara is a skilled dancer, but they look like a stereotypical leprechaun when they perform, with their bright red hair like a living flame, green coat and buckled shoes. Given their appearance and skill, Dara will normally be found performing at various Irish festivals, especially on St Patrick's Day, though sometimes others, Irish and not, make fun of their appearance. Which is a sure way to end up in a brawl.
  • Eirlys Roberts: Like all clurichaun, Eirlys is a collector, though for Eirlys it's not what the item is, but where it came from. They collect tourist souvenirs - often cheap, tacky ones - that come from Spain, and have a huge range of everything from donkeys to dubious pens and nutcrackers, all of which came from Spain. Even though a lot of them were probably made in China. They are still Spanish souvenirs, though, and Eirlys makes regular trips to Spain to pick up more items.
  • Elen Rowlands: Elen is a grump with what is possibly the largest collection of clover-related items in existence, from keyrings to badges to clothing, most of them in some shade of green. Though the clurichaun was once more active in getting new items for their collection, they have slowed down somewhat in the personal pursuit of new items, except for online purchases; eBay and the like have been a godsend to many clurichaun collectors. Those who do get a chance to see Elen's collection are hit with an overwhelming amount of green.
  • Emily Richards: Emily, to those that know the clurichaun, appears to have lost the plot more than somewhat. Clurichaun are known for their beloved collections, but Emily's was stolen - or destroyed; they are not always clear on which is the case or even the difference between them - some years back. Emily, if asked, will say they are hunting down those responsible, which has resulted in more than a few fights being caused by, probably unjustified, accusations of theft.
  • Ethan MacColgan: Ethan is a clurichaun who collects, of all things, weight lifting equipment. They also use the equipment, although only the lesser, more commonly available items. This constant use parts of their collection has resulted in a heavily-muscled clurichaun; though only about 5' tall, short even for a clurichaun, they present an intimidating appearance. Most are reluctant to have a friendly brawl with someone who looks like they could easily pick them up and toss them a couple of dozen yards.

One page is the front cover, three the front matter and most of one is ads.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
