The Very First Fera!

Tribebook Kor gives you the opportunity to play a were-Dimetrodon in the Savage Age!  The Kor hail from a drastically different era, and their expansive Gaian mandate connects them through eons of time to the coming apocalypse.  Gaia will need them once again.

Inside Tribebook: Kor is an extensive look at age of glory - a time that predated even the Mokole.  The Kor were created in a time before time by Gaia as the terrestrial companions to the Rokea, and served the Earth Mother as her first Fera.  The Kor fought in continent-wide wars to protect the very existence of Gaia, and when they faltered Gaia nearly perished.  They still serve, from epoch to epoch, as Gaia's final hidden weapon when things look darkest.

The story of the Kor is one of truly epic deeds and devasating tragedy.  They are the products of massive extinction events - events that continue to ripple across time and space towards the coming Apocalypse.

The Kor are being reborn into the Savage Age.

Their return means extinction.

Heralds of the Apocalypse!

While this book is primarily written as a supplement for Weaponized Ink's Werewolf: the Savage Age, the background and mechanics are designed to be flexible enough to add defition and deepen the story for Fera characters in a Modern Nights chronicle.  Of course, there are rules for playing a Kor character in the age of glory, the Savage Age, as well as modern nights.

Tribebook Kor Features:

  • The background and rules to play a Fera from the Deep Time (were-synapsid),
  • Lots of new original art!
  • New rules!  New totems, concepts, trinkets, gifts, rites, backgrounds, and more,
  • Everything you need to play a Kor in the Savage Age,
  • Everything in this book is ALSO useful in a Modern Nights game,
  • Advice for playing Kor characters,
  • Hooks to bring Deep Time mechanics into Savage Age play,
  • A quick primer on the paleobiology of synpasids to facilitiate play.

This is a very interesting idea, and I like the idea of exploring the Paleozoic. I'm looking forward to reading it. Given that they were created to fight against plantlife, I'm curious why they were made from predators instead of herbivores. The first true terrestrial herbivores were synapsids... almost like they were "introduced" to get the weeds under control :)

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
