Powerslaves: A Tome of Sorcery

ADD TO WISHLIST >

The sorcerous arts have long been practiced by the kindred, from Banu Haqim and Ministry sorcerers, to Tzimisce Koldun, and Tremere Thaumaturges. Many groups have tried claiming the crown of the first, the best, or the most powerful of the magic users, and here you'll finally see what they have to back up these claims.

In this book you will find:

  • An exploration of the various magic wielding groups, including Setite Sorcerers, Tzimisce Koldun, The hidden arts of the Banu Haqim, and the Houses of Clan Tremere
  • Nearly one hundred sorcerous rituals, each organised in the varous paths of focus, or schools of magic
  • Powers and rules for Koldunism, a variety of blood magic practiced by the Old Clan
  • A selection of ready made sorcerous antagonists to slip into any chronicle
  • Loresheets to bolster any student of the obscure

I was wandering, I am an adamant lover of VTMs necromancy systems. Do you know if there is a sources that adds the paths from previous additions into the current ceremonies of Oblivion? If this questions is worded odd, let me know so I can clarify.

I do love this book too though.

I'm glad you're enjoying it, and thanks for the comment. So far as i know, there isn't a book that does for Necromancy what this book does for sorcery, but i've not looked over everything. I considered putting them in here, but ultimatly, i decided that enough of them had survived into the existing ceremonies, and i'd have to convert stuff that already existed. I always loved the Ash path!

Oh yeah no, I understand completely, I’m just a necromancy buff ya know. I do admire your work you’ve done here, and think it is just amazing having these ritualised paths. And if you ever do anything with Necromancy, I’ll certainly be amongst the first to snatch a copy! I’m currently using this book in my Chronicle I’m running and also the one I’m playing in.

I love this book. It gave my a lot of new rituals. The idea to have paths in rituals is very good. It makes the magic more "alive". And all flavor text and explainings are also good.

In my Chicago Campaign I have a Banu Haqim and a Tremere lojalist. This book made it possible to make their magics their own that suits the characters and clan. The Koldun part is also very good. I have a feeling they will get some problems with some Tzimisces soon :)

A good buy!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
