Rocklords. Stonemen. Runaways. Gargoyles. No longer slaves to the Tremere, the stone-faced kindred have broken into the modern nights to make a name for themselves.

This full-featured Bloodline supplement includes everything you need to add Gargoyles to your campaign. Inside, you'll find a complete upgrade to match v5 aesthetics and lore, a clan coterie merit and clan-specific flaw, three new disciplines (Flight, Skin of the Chameleon, and Flow Within the Mountain), two Loresheets (Ferox and Virstania), and two premade Gargoyle characters to include in your campaigns.

This download includes the full graphic PDF as well as a plain text version for screenreaders and dyslexia-friendly version using the OpenDyslexic font.

You should give Gargoyles powers from By Night Studios LARP book perhaps? In that one, skin of the chamelon works differently. As long as you don't draw attention to yourself, mortals ignore you. Basically think Raphael in the first TMNT movie with his trenchcoat and hat but you can obviously see his face, feet and that he's not human but no one notices because he's not drawing attention to himself? Also, I feel like you could give the Gargoyles more of their original powers like Scry the Hearthstone because it seems Tzmice and some others in the v5 companion got a lot of powers.

@Tyler R. Thanks so much for this source book. I too am a Rockhead and had gone on and made my own conversions. I like background info and most of your choices. My only gripe is the loss of Potence. I understand and support the choice to spit up Visceratika up into Protean and Obfuscate. if you want to choose the other powers you are free to do so. The loss of Potence is different. I can see that having a 4th clan Discipline would be unfair though. As a work around i made up a 2 point Lore sheet background called Brute. Effect is to make Potence a 4th clan Discipline. Having Potence, Fortitude, and Protean, all in one monster could be... unbalancing but... /shrug

@Tyler Rose. I love this addition to V5, my only complaint is that having all the gargoyle abilities locks in your first four Protean powers. Aside from that I just have a question.

1.) Do gargoyles have their wings out at all times? I know that they did in the previous edition, but the second half of the bane made it sound like they don’t. Clothes and makeup don’t seem like enough to hide giant wings popping out of someone’s back and if they have to rely on disciplines for every social interaction then they don’t need to rely on clothes or makeup to appear human.

Re: Wings. In my personal vision, they do always exist but their wings are able to squish pretty close to their body when folded in order to hide them. If they're wearing a jacket or a reasonably modest shirt over them, they'd just look bulky rather than obviously supernatural. A Gargoyle could also bind them down using stretchy bandages around their torso and chest or wear a backpack with holes cut in it to put their wings in. That said, I'm happy for folks to play it however makes sense to them. If you have a vision of retractable wings or wings that can't be easily hidden, go for it.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
