Kiths of Arcadia

Caught between the Wyld Hunt and a mad king...

Released in 1996, Arcadia: The Wyld Hunt, a collectible card game, offered Changeling: The Dreaming players a tantalizing glimpse into Arcadia. The game allowed players to create their own character with which to explore the heart of the Dreaming. Most of the character options were those found in Changeling, but intriguingly, a handful never made their way into the role-playing game — until now.

Heroes arise to face the Darkening!

Kiths of Arcadia presents the seven never before published kiths from Arcadia: The Wyld Hunt for use in Changeling: The Dreaming 20th Anniversary Edition chronicles:

  • Army Ant Platoons — a hive mind cut off from their home nest in Arcadia. The platoons were forced to adopt the Changeling Way after the Shattering and now live as smaller nests within the human body they share a soul with.

  • Dragonkin — descendants of ancient dreams that long predate humanity. The original dragons sided with the Tuatha de Danaan against the Fomorians in exchange for the dreams of dragons always having a place in the human psyche.

  • Imps — born of the lies the church told about the fae. Imps don’t mind their origin. In fact, they revel in their dream. They’ll provide whatever their marks desire... for a price!

  • Mechorgs — changelings who’ve had a horrific transformation inflicted upon them, usually by Dauntain or members of the Black Court. Changelings are adaptable and resilient though, and the mechorgs build a new life for themselves.

  • Nagas — divine protectors of the sacred. Once they took direction directly from the gods. Since the Shattering, they’ve been cut off from their divine patrons. Now they must determine for themselves who or what deserves their protection.

  • Renegade Cogs — creations by fae artisans who transcend what they were built to be. The creation is so perfectly constructed, it becomes a new faerie soul. Renegade cogs see all other living things having a purpose in life and wonder if they have one or if they're merely accidents.

  • Tritons — fearsome sea monsters born of mortals' fear of unseen horrors lurking beneath the ocean's surface. Tritons aren't simply mindless terrors though. They all have a personal code they abide by and are willing to be a monster for hire if the price is right.

This looks great. But I am sad there are no Proselytizing Velociraptors; I wanted to know what those are about.

I Really love this! I came in thinking dragonkin would be my faves but the funky lil ants pulled through! Thank you so much for these!

Love the game, but i'm still not a fan of lugging laptops and tablets to a pen and paper tabletop game. So, will this book ever make it to the printing press?

It’s formatted for print, so if print on demand ever comes to Storytellers Vault, this one will be ready.

Thank you so much! I love that the Army Ant Platoons seems to be everyone’s favorite. They’re so different from most Kiths, I really wasn’t sure how they’d be received.

The Kiths presented in this book add a lot of flavor to the already awesome C20 line. Totally worth the price. An excellent supplement with great artwork. It looks as good as any official book. My favorite of the lot is the “Army Ant Platoon”

This is an excellent supplement. All of the kiths presented in "Kiths of Arcadia" are well thought out and ready to play. There is no inconsistencies or contradictions with the Changeling the Dreaming 20th anniversary rules. I especially like the Dragonkin and Renegade Cog.

I just picked this up yesterday.
Totally worth the $3 dollars they charged.
It feels like this is an official expansion. Go pick it up today if for no other reason than it helps people making new C20 Content.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
