WoD Character creator (previously oWoD/MDT Manager) is a software to manager & create characters sheets for Vampire V20 (Masquerade), Mage M20 (Ascension) and Werewolf W20 (Apocalypse). It manage creation and evolution of characters, and generate PDF of character sheets.

It is a free software that I publish here to share with WoD community. Pay something only if you want to support the project.

World of Darkness Dark Pack allow now characters generators, so this software is available again. https://www.worldofdarkness.com/dark-pack.

Actual features:

Do you have any plans to add other breeds related to Werewolf such as the Mokole? They have some things unique to them that aren't found on werewolves.

Hi,
Could you please ensure that all of the dependencies are bundled in the executable? I'm trying to get this to work on linux and there are some dependencies that it assumes are installed in the system, which aren't viable to get without rebuilding the exe.
If you can bundle everything, you'll be able to mark it as working on linux with no additional work :)

I don't know if it is possible.
There are no external dll except microsoft framework or windows dll.
All others are already packed in the exe file.

The dll at issue here is itextsharp. It seems to be included in windows by default, but not in wine or proton.

Unhandled Exception:
System.TypeLoadException: Could not load type of field 'MDT_Manager.f_Form1:bf' (3) due to: Could not load file or assembly 'itextsharp, Version=5.5.13.1, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=8354ae6d2174ddca' or one of its dependencies.

It might simply not be possible, but if so it's one of a handful of programs that just outright won't run on wine/proton. So I think it's unlikely.

itextsharp is an external dll that is included in the soft executable.
I think it is the way the dll are included (they are zipped and loaded from the zip); That work fine with Windows, maybe not with emulator.
I'll try to compile a version without compression on dll

Probably not impossible to add this in futur versions.

Great Program! Though I did notice that when you generate NPCs, it only creates Mortal NPCs. Is there a way this can be used to create Supernatural NPCs?

In the actual version, the NPC generator is only for human characters.
I don't know yet how to handle the creation of supernatural NPC (leveling disciplines / spheres with the combo of attributes / capacities ...).
For now, you can create a human NPC, and convert it to other character sheet.

I am noticing on version 2.72 that there is no way to change the player generation when you start a new Dark Ages sheet. Is this as intended?

The generation of a character can only be modified by adding the "Generation" Background and adding dots in it.
If you need to lower the generation below 7 (for DA20, 8 for V20), you can use "Dots forcing mode" in "GM Tools" to add free points in Generation background.

good idea but the thing I would really love to have would be a creation pack for older character (e.g. rank 2 to 6 for werewolf, 100 years/250/500/750/1000 years for vampire, etc).

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
