The Endless Death, Volume One: Curses Writ in Blood

ADD TO WISHLIST >

The Endless Death, Volume One: Curses Writ in Blood contains:

Curses of the Clans

The diverse Curses of the thirteen Clans and their bloodlines in many ways define them, shaping their mindsets and cultures even as they suffer under them. From the fury of the Brujah to the ravenous hunger of the Assamites, from the Toreador’s irresistible fascination with beauty to the Malkavians’ broken minds, these are infamous and well-documented.

Passed through the Ages

But these are not the only Curses known to the race of Caine, nor are they static and unchanging. This installment of the first volume of a four-part series expands on many areas of Vampire: The Masquerade, unearths new Curses, and builds upon the existing ones.

Curses of the Clans includes:

The expansion of each Clan weakness into progressive Curses, most of which develop in three stages.

Two additional detailed Curses for each Clan, to use alongside or in place of the main Clan Curses.

Variant Curses for antitribu, Giovanni Families, Nosferatu factions, and other offshoot bloodlines.

And:

Afflictions

Though not all Kindred bear the brand of corruption upon their flesh and within their minds, those who do suffer greatly under its presence on a nightly basis. The horrific forms of Clan Nosferatu, the beastial Marks and Urges borne by Clan Gangrel, and even the Signs of infernal damnation flaunted by Kindred of Clan Baali all exact a great toll upon the unliving form and consciousness.

Of Body, Mind, and Soul

The forms by which the brand of affliction takes is truly boundless, much to the disgust of other Kindred. This book, the second of the first volume of a four-part series expands on many areas of Vampire: The Masquerade, detailing the abhorrent characteristics of Clans Nosferatu, Gangrel, and Baali.

Afflictions includes:

Abhorrence, a new Attribute to replace Appearance for characters otherwise limited from using Appearance, with over twenty features to use in visualising them (each split into multiple levels of severity).

200 atavistic Marks and Urges of Clan Gangrel.

160 Signs of physical and spiritual corruption for Baali.

Again wanted to give a big thank-you to the authors of this book series,
The Endless Death is without a doubt an absolutely amazing add-on for any ST interested in running a V20 game; written by fans who obviously have a very in-depth knowledge of the lore.
I personally use the expanded material on curses presented in The Endless Death in ALL my current V20 games.
Thought I would also post a link to our RPG channel, where your writing is directly referenced by the characters; with Special Thanks and links in the description accrediting your material ofcourse.

Thanks again & especially looking forward to your upcoming Book 3 in the series!

Kind Regards,
Oliver

Hi Vincent!

First thing, as we've recently found we're likely to do many more volumes than four, though obviously these will take time. About PoD, the Storytellers Vault isn't currently offering this and it's out of our hands.

Hello Sam,
Me and our RPG group are running a series of gothic horror rpgs that will be partially filmed, we have been enjoying role-playing for years and want to revitalize our enthusiasm by captivating our series of chronicles in recap videos in full costume/makeup as a way to continue to explore our hobby. We are having a great time producing, and it has garnered quite a fair amount of enthusiasm locally, we have a few really talented editors that have been a real asset and we got the go ahead to use a green screen studio for all our videos. Production has been hard work but thoroughly enjoyable, the channel has just gone up and we are excited to be releasing some of the first content soon.

We love your material and use alot of it for our character development. We would like to get the writer's approval ofcourse and to take the opportunity to ask if you would appreciate acknowledgements for The Endless Death to be listed ie special thanks to.. and links etc in the video content. If so let...See more

Hi Oliver,

First thing, really sorry about the lateness of this response, hope it hasn't been too inconvenient. I've recently started a new job, we've both been busy working on the next volume (which had a pretty big setback but should be along soon), and due to what we think was a glitch we hadn't seen your comment until now.

We would absolutely be happy for you to endorse us in videos. I imagine it would work best to put this at the end, whether spoken or in text, with links in the description. The best part about this has been knowing that our work is actually being used and enjoyed by gaming groups.

God bless do I like these things and feel as if I got my money's worth just on the Gangrel Marks alone I do have a question.
I notice in one of the reviews that the question is answered in part (Abhorrence and Zulo form), is it safe to say in a future title you will address interactions involving reducing Appearance to 0 in means besides Clan Curse/Weakness and the Monstrous flaw. Vicissitude and a couple Thaumaturgy paths come to mind as Discipline methods, but also Flesh of the Corpse flaw (if left unchecked long enough) and other effects that do not start or force Appearance to 0 but if done long enough can result in App. 0.

First of all, thank you for your comments! This is exactly what we intend to do, though I'm afraid not for some time (since this falls very much under Disciplines). Based on this and the review you mentioned, we may well address these queries in an update to book 2 in the future. For now, assume that anything that would normally result in Appearance 0 provides Abhorrence (even if only temporarily)

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
