Enlightened Grimoire

Twenty-Five Years of Magick

Over the last twenty-five years of Mage: The Ascension, spells have been scattered like treasure through the pages of multiple books and supplements, adding depth and texture to the World of Darkness. These small gems have given us peeks over the years at how the Traditions, Technocracy and Crafts not only construct their effects, but how a Mage’s Paradigm works in the most practical sense.

Gathered in a Single Spellbook

Now, for the first time, every single rote ever published has been gathered into a single Enlightened Grimoire, updated for Mage: The Ascension 20 th Anniversary Edition’s rules and indexed to allow the player to go back and find the origins of every spell, rote and procedure ever written in its original form. Here you will find everything from the terrifying transformations of the Verbena to the mental manipulations of the New World Order. Even those spells that can warp and damage a Mage’s very soul…

p. 86 of the book (87 of the PDF), on a 'follow-up' for Primium:
It's an alchemically perfect allow of...
allow should = alloy?

I found a typo I'm not sure hwere to post it so I'll just do it here. On page 7 in the healing and harming description it says "The line between Healing and Harming is thing.." Where it should say "thin"

Thanks for letting me know, I'm working on an update (no ETA, though) and will correct that and several other typos I have found and been made aware of.

Will you update it with spells from new supplements published for M20?

It contains all rotes that have been published under M20 so far, and I intend to update it when Print on Demand becomes available with whatever books have been released at that time. After PoD, it will only have corrections and minor edits, no additional content.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
