Interesting, fun and imaginative; however, there is one word I need to stress to all the authors within this work: proofread. The typos and glaring grammatical errors made reading through each entry painful and distracting. You put some hard work into this, go the extra step and get someone, anyone, to go over your work before publishing. I understand that some of the authors may not have English as their primary language; that means you need to be extra diligent in having your work looked at by someone who is familiar with spelling and grammar. Also, the Gargoyle and Merovingian entries basically copied the stereotypes section of each other, whether they intended to or not.

This book is an amazing look at some of the new bloodlines that have been introduced via the storyteller vault. We really enjoyed the look into the Tlacique. One of the biggest issues this book has formatting and spelling errors. For example on page 15 in the Tlacique Discipline section Thaumaturgy is spelled in correctly. On Page 2, in the second column the words "her master" are ran together into one word. On page 7, the paragraph headers Haven, Background, Character Creation, Disciplines etc are not bold but everywhere else in the book they are. On page 8, the paragraphs on Nickname and Sect are completely in bold, when only the header should be. On page 12 the words "when Cappadocius" are ran together into one word.

In addition to the typos and grammatical errors the only place we found the book wanting was the fact the descriptions sometimes refer to new disciplines or thaumaturgy paths that don't actually appear the book. The first couple of dots of these paths...See more

There are still a few more corrections to go. On page one, bloodline is misspelled. On page two in column two there are at least 3 instances where two words are ran together into one word. The work is still amazing, but still is in need of a massive proofread and edit.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
