Preview of our upcoming citybook War for São Paulo: Cainites and Other Sinners.

After two wars the Sabbat of São Paulo is still fighting for survival, but no war is worse than the one inside. As they struggle to chose the next Archbishop while opposite factions are disputing every territory of the lost Packs, the war against the military hunters of Tropa de Elite is far from over.

You can unite the Sabbat. You can end this civil war. Will you become the next Archbishop or prevent an enemy from being nominated?

Or will you be the next hunters' target?

War for São Paulo: Cainites and Other Sinners will present:

An in-depth look at the largest city in Brazil, home of more than 12 million people;

Description of the remaining Packs, atrocious Cainites, Bishops disputing the leadership of the city as well as two Camarilla wannabe Princes;

A comprehensive timeline expanded in three different chapters to cover every major side of the war;

The Spiritual Capital of the Sabbat is described with many new Paths of Enlightment and secrets hidden underneath the Cathedral of Sé;

Indigenous necromancy and african flavoured rituals, including a description of the mysterious Gods of Night, original native Brazilian Vampires;

Advices for Storytellers on how to run a chronicle in São Paulo and many, many more plots and mysteries.

Differences between our project and a classic By Night:

I. 5 different chapters of city history with 5 different perspectives of them;

II. Locations with much wider descriptions containing the main historical facts associated with them, making it easier for players to permeate their backgrounds with them.;

III. Descriptions of influential Mortals of the city;

IV. Presentation of the Night Gods, creatures of Darkness with a myth of their own creation and challenging the Cainites of the city;

V. 5 new Paths of Enlightment to reaffirm the canon of which SP is the Spiritual Capital of the Sabbat;

VI. New Thaumaturgical and Necromantic Rituals representing both the indigenous and african heritage of the city.

VII. Description of the new hunter antagonist Tropa de Elite along with rules and examples of hi tech gadgets.

VIII. Presentation of various hidden mysteries of the city as the Peabiru Path and to the Black Lake below it.

This is beautiful and filled with cool ideas. Every single part of every single page shine with a cool plot hook, bit of backstory, creepy picture, nicely designed layout or something else. It is dense and it feels like it punches you in the gut with [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
